The Greenfields Challenge Cup is the JSFA knock-out cup competition which operates throughout the season kindly sponsored by Greenfields Milk. Now in its sixth season of competition, the Cup is open to all teams in the following age group allocations:
The early rounds of the Cup competition are normally held on Sunday mornings, with the winning team of each match progressing to the next round. If a match finishes level after the official playing time all games go straight to 5 penalties each, with no overtime played. If the scores are still level after 5 penalties each then the sudden death rule applies.
All Cup finals are played on Gala Day, which is also the end of season ceremony where all Cup and League winners and runners-up trophies and medals are awarded.
Can we draw your attention to the Rules and Code of Conduct that has been distributed to all the schools and coaches. A copy is available on this web site but we should all remember that the Founders of the JSFA always wanted all children of all standards the opportunity to play the game of soccer based on the ethos of sportsmanship, fair play and respect for others. We also ask players, coaches and spectators to respect the rules of fair play.
We look forward to a fantastic season ahead!
